With spring, Soul Winners came alive again sending our crew to “America’s Heartland”. We spent last week filming in Iowa and this week catching the tail end of the Cinevangelism series at Doc Films. Summer brings the rush of funding deadlines so I will be buried in grantmaking until August. Next shoots Georgia and California. See you soon.

I was delighted to attend a lecture at Block on campus tonight featuring among others Chris Ware. I think I like spending time around cartoonists and illustrators because after a while when you spend your whole life saying “I can’t explain it, but I know it when I see it…” it comes as a great relief.
