Humble beginnings right? 137 Films has a new office in the West Loop– 118 N. Clinton just next to the Metra and Greenline. You should stop in and marvel. After several months telecommuting, it’s so strange to have the option of proximity. I think we’re all a little iffy on it given we seem to each be pretty productive from our home offices.
Right now we’re going through choices like wall colors and furniture purchases. I helped moved in last week, and there’s one thing we have a TON of– plastic forks. Monica, our co-director remarked that we were the kind of crowd to create stop motion shorts from the stockpile of forks, as opposed to using them for lunching purposes.
Interestingly, the bulk of us have day jobs, so I am curious as to what the office schedule will be like. As one of our board members remarked “You could have Business Friday”– where we actually dress up in business attire as opposed to the denim and plaid shirts we’re all accustomed to seeing one another in.
